The product of each piece reflects countless hours of dedicated workmanship. Our collection is brought to life through the use of various embroidery and craft techniques, showcasing a diverse range of artistic expressions.
Dabka
Dabka embroidery is a traditional hand embroidery form originating from South Asia, particularly India and Pakistan. The name "dabka" refers to metallic threads, often gold or silver, intricately stitched onto fabric along with beads, sequins, and stones. This exquisite craft is deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the region and has a long history. Skilled artisans, also known as "zardozi workers," meticulously create intricate designs on garments like bridal wear, saris, and lehengas. Dabka embroidery has evolved to embrace contemporary fashion trends while preserving its traditional essence, making it a symbol of luxury and cultural craftsmanship.
Zardozi
Zardozi embroidery is a luxurious and ancient hand embroidery technique originating from Persia and flourishing during the Mughal era in India. It involves the meticulous use of metallic threads, particularly gold and silver, along with beads, sequins, and stones to create elaborate designs on fabrics like silk and velvet. This opulent craft gained prominence as a symbol of wealth and status, adorning the attire of royalty and nobility. Skilled artisans, known as "zardozi workers," undergo extensive training to master the intricate stitches and draw inspiration from nature, historical motifs, and Islamic art for their designs. While traditionally associated with festive and ceremonial wear, zardozi has seamlessly adapted to contemporary fashion, bridging the gap between the traditional and the modern.
